The Frenchman gets another chance to impress Mourinho.

Anthony Martial returns to the starting lineup for Manchester United as they host Watford. He forms part of what is arguably United’s best front four, starting on the left next to Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Juan Mata with Zlatan Ibrahimović up front. Despite setting up two goals in his last start against Wigan, Martial has been out of favor of late, but today represents another chance to prove himself to the manager. Wayne Rooney is available from the bench, in case we need someone to come on and secure a result for Watford.

As usual, Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera are in charge of holding down the midfield. Michael Carrick’s return to the bench means that Mourinho has opted for the more attacking 4-2-3-1.

It’s Daley Blind’s turn to try his hand at left-back, with the ever-reliable Antonio Valencia on the opposite flank. Now that the bizarre episode of a fit Phil Jones is over - more fool us for thinking it could last - Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling are manning the center of the defense.

Watford are lining up in a similar shape, with United old boy Tom Cleverley returning to face his old team.
