Marouane Fellaini makes a surprise return to the starting line-up as United host Saint-Étienne in the first leg of their round of 32 tie in the Europa League. The ample-haired Belgian partners Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba in a midfield that looks about 2⁄3 right.

At the back, Mourinho has gone with the same back four that started against Watford at the weekend - Antonio Valencia, Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling, and Daley “White Lightning” Blind. Unfortunately for them, they’ll be patrolling the space ahead of The Sergio Romero Experience.
Up front, the Anthony Martial comeback tour continues, as he and Juan Mata flank the ever-present Zlatan Ibrahimović.
Surprisingly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is nowhere to be seen, but attacking options are available from the bench in the shape of Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, and Ashley Young. Bastian Schweinsteiger is in the squad as well, presumably for the banter.
One of Mère Pogba’s other boys starts for ASSE, who line up like this:
