The big guns (and Daley Blind) all get a rest.

José Mourinho has rung the changes for Manchester United as they face Blackburn Rovers away in the FA Cup. David de Gea, Antonio Valencia, and Daley Blind have the weekend off. Instead, The Sergio Romero Experience is between the sticks, and Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian are in charge of the full-backing. In the middle, Marcos Rojo returns from injury to partner whichever version of Chris Smalling shows up today.

Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera will be holding down the midfield. Jesse Lingard, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Anthony Martial will be expected to supply Marcus Rashford, who finally gets a start up top.

Even with his team rotations, Mourinho has still given himself the insurance policy of having Juan Mata, Paul Pogba, and Zlatan Ibrahimović available off the bench. This would’ve been a nice opportunity to have youth involved in the squad, but those spots go to “professional athletes” Bastian Schweinsteiger and - THIS IS NOT A DRILL - Luke Shaw.

For Blackburn Rovers, the only thing you should care about is that our Wes Brown is on the bench.
