Manchester United's attack may not be functioning, but the propaganda department is ticking along nicely. Last night United blew another chance to close the gap on the top four, so this morning, by way of distraction, we have Jose Mourinho whining about the FA's double standards and a massive transfer story.
Pay no attention to the nil-nil draw behind the curtain!
The story involves Antoine Griezmann, which should be no surprise to anybody. The reports come, in part, from a Yahoo! Sport exclusive, which states that:
Manchester United believe they ‘already have the basis of an agreement in place’ to sign Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann next summer, a source close to the Old Trafford club has told Yahoo Sport.
There was a also brief flurry of excitement about reports in France regarding Griezmann's personal terms ...
Canal+ in France reporting Antoine Griezmann has agreed to join Manchester United in the summer. They say Utd will pay €100m release clause

... though that fizzled out fairly sharpish.
Told reports in France that Man United have already agreed terms with Antoine Griezmann are not true. Release clause £85m if they want him

We should note that United have denied the stories. We should also note that they would deny them even if they were true, because negotiating directly with players under contract to another club is not the done thing, even if nobody seems to care about it in any practical sense.
Anyway, that all amounts to quite a lot of noise, but not much substance. Let's just be thankful that Griezmann was busy playing football last night. If he didn't notice the result at Old Trafford, he might still fancy the move.
