Manchester United may have scored a lovely goal against FC Rostov to progress to the quarter-finals of the Europa League. It may have been a dull game, with a questionable line-up, and costly injuries to Paul Pogba and Daley Blind. But there’s only one moment that we should all be talking about: Marcos Rojo eating a banana on the pitch.

Yes, that happened. During a European knock-out fixture - in what is surely the only time in history where something good came of a banana being on a football pitch - Marcos Rojo had a snack. Maybe he was cramping. Maybe he was just hungry. Either way, he’s a hero.
