José Mourinho has handed Luke Shaw his first Premier League start since the goalless draw at home to Burnley back in October, in one of four changes to the side that beat Southampton in the final of the EFL Cup last weekend. He comes into the side in place of Chris Smalling, while the unexplained absence of Eric Bailly has seen Marcos Rojo shuffle across from left-back to partner Phil Jones in the centre of defence.
Michael Carrick returns to displace Ander Herrera in midfield, while Wayne Rooney is preferred to Jesse Lingard. That means Anthony Martial has been allowed to keep his spot out on the left side of United’s attack, with Zlatan Ibrahimović continuing to lead the line.
