Paul Pogba, quite correctly, does not give a solitary shit what Rio Ferdinand or Jamie Carragher thinks of him. Carragher has a track record of complaining about black, French-speaking players from his time at Liverpool, and Ferdinand 'forgot' a drugs test and then held United to ransom for a new contract despite the club paying his wages throughout his ban. Pogba has none of those unpleasant traits, and will obviously be brilliant.

The Belgian police are giving United heavy protection after the attack on the Dortmund team bus. There's clearly only a small chance of another attack being repeated, but you can understand why there aren't taking many chances with this match.

David de Gea and Jose Mourinho are getting a touch fractious, with Mourinho believing that De Gea has had his head turned a touch by a prospective move to Real Madrid. It's nothing serious - yet - but Mourinho needs to keep the squad in line and if Sergio Romero is the only 'keeper to concentrate on matters at hand, so be it. However, De Gea has already been dropped by one manager for failing to keep his head amid interest from Real.

Wayne Rooney won't be playing against Anderlecht, because of a persistent pain in his ankle. Who could have imagined that a lifetime of a heavy frame as a professional athlete would lead to problems with joints? I JUST CANNOT BELIEVE IT.

And lastly, though this is nothing to do with United, this is absolutely pathetic.
