Manchester United have extended the contract of the Premier League’s best right-back. Antonio Valencia is now committed to the club until 2019, with the option of an additional year. In his career at United, Valencia has been a good, if severely limited, winger, then a rubbish makeshift right-back. In the last two seasons though, he has become arguably the team’s most consistent performer, and is now both defensively sound and vital going forward.
Rumored United target Bernardo Silva is on his way to Manchester! It’s to sign for City, though.
The MEN are reporting that Mourinho is prioritizing four positions in this summer’s transfer window - the same four that were targeted (successfully, we might add) last year. Run it back!
Miguel Delaney reports that United want the Griezmann deal wrapped up early, and that some leg work has already been done on deals for Andrea Belotti of Torino and Michael Keane of our own bloody academy Burnley.
Patrice Evra - one of, if not the greatest living Frenchmen - is excited about returning to Old Trafford to play in Michael Carrick’s testimonial. What a man.
