Manchester United host Championship side Derby County in the third round of the FA Cup on Friday, hoping to continue their very impressive UNDEFEATED record in 2018. Yes, it’s just been the one match, but nevermind that. The Rams will be no pushovers, as they are one of the teams in the division below with aspirations of gaining promotion to the Premier League this season.
There is some good news for United, as José Mourinho has confirmed that Marouane Fellaini and Romelu Lukaku are both back available for selection. At the back, Antonio Valencia and Chris Smalling are still injured, and Ashley Young is still suspended, so it is likely to be the same back four that started on New Year’s day.
FA Cup schedule
We kick off at 20:00 in Manchester, which is 3:00 PM on the east coast of the USA and 12: 00 PM over on the west.
FA Cup channel
In the UK, you’re out of luck - you’ll have to listen on the radio like your grandad used to do after the war. Those in the States can tune in to Fox Sports 2. A click on LiveSoccerTV will sort out the rest of you.
FA Cup streaming
Nothing legal in the UK; Fox Sports GO in the USA.
Starting lineup
With 10 days off following this match, we expect to see a very strong line-up. Something like: Romero; Lindelöf, Jones, Rojo, Shaw; Matić, Pogba; Mata, Lingard, Martial; Lukaku.
Update: A miserable six out of 11. We’ll expect Brent’s resignation in the morning.
