Manchester United return to Champions League action on Tuesday with everything currently on fire. For now, it’s hard to imagine things getting much worse, though a defeat at home to Swiss champions Young Boys would crank up the tension to fever pitch. A win, on the other hand, could well guarantee safe passage into the knockout stages, providing Valencia don’t win away at Juventus.

It really is a game that United should be winning, with Young Boys having picked up only a point from their first four group stage games. José Mourinho will be without Victor Lindelöf and Marcos Rojo, while Diogo Dalot faces a late fitness test. Everyone else should be available, though he may still opt for wholesale changes after the weekend’s disappointing goalless draw with Crystal Palace.
