Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will make his home debut as caretaker manager of Manchester United on Boxing Day, as the Reds face Huddersfield Town in Premier League action. In Solskjaer’s first game in charge, United blew out Cardiff City with a scintillating performance. The Old Trafford crowd will be hoping for more of the same on Wednesday against the relegation-threatened Terriers.
Solskjaer has promised to rotate his squad over the festive period, but may be tempted to continue with the same starting XI that performed so well last weekend. There are no new reported injury concerns, and some of those players uninvolved at Cardiff — Chris Smalling, Antonio Valencia, Marcos Rojo, Scott McTominay — may even be available for selection.
