Manchester United face a tough test against Arsenal as they look to end their 3 game win-less run in the Premier League. The Gunners are currently in 4th with an 8 point advantage over the Red Devils, and could prove a major hurdle for José Mourinho and company. The Special One needs a win as both the winter schedule and his own seat begin to heat up.
We’d like to hear your thoughts and predictions for how United should prepare for the big match, and how you think they’ll perform come game time.
Let us see your predictions in the polls and in the comments!
Injuries and Suspensions
Injuries couldn’t have come at a worse time. United are in a slump, the pressure is mounting on the players and the manager, and now an already weak defensive corps has been hit with a fresh wave of injuries and suspensions.
Victor Lindelöf is still out for a few more weeks, Ashley Young is suspended, and now Antonio Valencia, Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw, and Eric Bailly are all in doubt for Wednesday’s fixture. In addition, the front line could be missing Romelu Lukaku, who finally ended his goal drought against Southampton, and former Arsenal man Alexis Sánchez.
However, with the injuries of first team regulars could come an opportunity for those on the bench to make an impression. United are in desperate need of change, though clearly Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matić as defenders is not addressing that need positively.

Attack
José Mourinho has shaken up the formation in an attempt to stop the bleeding and score more goals, but it hasn’t worked since before the Manchester Derby loss. Even top scorer Anthony Martial was benched to start the Southampton game.
With Alexis and possibly Lukaku out for the upcoming match, who should start up top against Arsenal? (Assuming the formation remains the same)

Paul Pogba
Much has been made of the Pogba-Mourinho work relationship all season, and rumors of Mourinho giving Pogba the hair dryer treatment this weekend could be supported by the out of focus performance the Frenchman put on at the St. Mary’s Stadium last Saturday.
Regardless, Pogba is a leader in the team, and is certainly the most talented midfielder in the side. Will he start against Arsenal regardless of the media attention, or will Mourinho make another power move?

José Mourinho
United have earned just 2 points from their last 3 matches, their 22 points through 14 games is one of their worst ever starts to a Premier League season, and they’ve only managed to win at home 3 times in the league this season. Many fans continue to call for Mourinho to be sacked, and it’s starting to seem like a real possibility.
Should Mourinho be sacked immediately If United lose to Arsenal at home?
