It has been over a month since Manchester United last recorded a Premier League victory, though they’re not going to get many better opportunities to return to winning ways than Saturday’s. They play host to basement side Fulham, who have won only twice all season, though have recently appointed Claudio Ranieri to oversee their rescue operation.
United will have Ashley Young back available after his one-match suspension, though Anthony Martial could miss out after picking up a knock in the midweek draw with Arsenal. Victor Lindelöf and Alexis Sánchez are both out; Luke Shaw and Phil Jones face late fitness tests.
Fulham, whose form has improved since the arrival of Ranieri, will be unable to play loanee Timothy Fosu-Mensah against his parent club. Defensive midfielder Kevin McDonald and tricky striker Floyd Ayité are both sidelined with injuries, though neither would likely have made the first team anyway.
