Manchester United travel to Tyneside on Sunday to take on Newcastle United, who are battling relegation near the bottom of the Premier League table. José Mourinho has never won at Newcastle in the league, neither with United nor with Chelsea, and he will be hoping to put an end to that run this weekend. Rafa Benitez’s side have not won in the league since New Year’s Day, and will be desperate for points as they try to maintain their top flight status.
United will still be without Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimović, Daley Blind and Marouane Fellaini, but have no new injury concerns. Paul Pogba is almost certain to be restored to the starting lineup after being dropped last weekend, while it remains to be seen which of the available central defenders are now first choice.
Premier League schedule
We’re getting underway at 14:15 UK time, which is 9:15 AM on the east coast of the USA, and a frightfully early 6:15 AM on the west.
Premier League TV channel
Sky Sports Premier League has the action in the UK. Those Stateside can catch the action on NBCSN and Universo, depending on language preference. Everyone else, head on over to LiveSoccerTV.
Premier League streaming
NBC Sports Live and Universo Now in the States, and Sky Go UK on the other side of the pond.
Starting lineup
Prediction: David de Gea; Antonio Valencia, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Luke Shaw; Nemanja Matić, Paul Pogba; Juan Mata, Alexis Sánchez, Anthony Martial; Romelu Lukaku.
Update: Huh. No Juan Mata. And Luke Shaw may be getting a new contract, but that doesn’t mean he starts ahead of Ashley Young. Weird.
