Manchester United will play host to Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup quarterfinals. It will be a rematch of the 1983 final, which United won 4-0 — albeit only after the Seagulls had forced a replay with an initial 2-2 draw. Exact kickoff times are yet to be confirmed, though the tie will take place at Old Trafford some time between 16-19 March.
United won 1-0 when these sides met in a Premier League fixture at Old Trafford back in November, albeit only courtesy of a second-half own-goal from Lewis Dunk. Chris Hughton’s side are embroiled in the massive fight for top-flight survival, though are unlikely to field a weakened team with a trip to Wembley just a win away.
The full quarterfinal draw is as follows:
Manchester United vs. Brighton & Hove Albion
Sheffield Wednesday or Swansea vs. Rochdale or Tottenham Hotspur
Wigan Athletic or Manchester City vs. Southampton
