Hello commuters! With your computers.
There’s a CRISIS with Manchester United, Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho. Not content with describing Pogba as man of the match against Bournemouth - where set up Romelu Lukaku’s goal and played well - and applauding him off the pitch, Mourinho then SNUBBED the French midfielder by concentrating on the ongoing match instead of shaking his hands. The whole story is a load of old balls, clearly, and this is the kind of rank guff we have to live with if we willingly expose ourselves to football.
The excellent, talented and currently bald football writer Rob ‘Rob’ Smyth has written about the Arsene Wenger-Alex Ferguson rivalry. Before one of them retired and the other became completely obsolete and obstinate, there was a real loathing between the pair of them. However, as tends to be the way with Ferguson - except with Roy Keane - when the opposite figure was no longer a threat, he was happy to patronise them as if they were friends. Maybe there was genuine warmth, or maybe Ferguson just hates whoever he needs to when he wakes up the morning.
Rafael Da Silva has stated that when he left United, it was following a one minute long conversation between him and Louis van Gaal with a quick text message afterwards. It’s always weird how some managers just can’t bring themselves to act like decent men - at least Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho never have that problem!
Valencia want to sign Andreas Pereira from Manchester United, where he has been loaned from. However Pereira says that he intends to return to Manchester and force his way into the United side next season. With Marouane Fellaini leaving and Michael Carrick retiring, he may grab a place if United can’t locate a suitable replacement.
