Pinch me; I think I’m dreaming. England, yes, England, are one game away from a World Cup final. And — famous last words — it’s an eminently winnable game. They take on Croatia in Moscow, with the winner set to meet France in Sunday’s final. The loser has to take on Belgium in the third-place playoff, and no one wants to suffer that indignity ...

Croatia vs. England

Time: 21:00 in Moscow, 19:00 in the UK, 14:00 on the east coast, and 11:00 over on the west.

Manchester United points of interest

This one’s all about England, unless you’re still clinging onto that faintly depressing dream of signing Ivan Perišić. Jesse Lingard and Ashley Young have had impressive tournaments so far, and will surely be handed starts by Gareth Southgate. With Harry Kane the first name on the teamsheet, Marcus Rashford will have to join Phil Jones in settling for a place on the bench. Ex-United man Danny Welbeck is also in the squad, though if we see him on the pitch, it’s probably not a good sign.
