Manchester United vs. Leicester City: Live stream, Time, TV schedule & how to watch Premier League online

The Premier League is back, baby!

Leicester City v Manchester United - Premier League

Manchester United are finally back in competitive action on Friday, hosting one-time champions Leicester City (yes, that really happened) at Old Trafford in the Premier League season opener. José Mourinho has been moaning all summer about not having a full strength squad with which to work (pesky World Cup!), and as miserable as he is, he has a point. At least six players will be missing from the squad today with injuries, and core members of the team like Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba may only start from the bench due to a lack of match fitness.

Leicester have World Cup hangover issues of their own, as once and future United target Harry Maguire, as well as racist abuser Jamie Vardy, among those who have only recently returned to training. Claude Puel’s team make for tricky first opponents, and United fans will be hoping that an underwhelming pre-season was not a sign of things to come.

Lineups

Injuries and post-World Cup availability have greatly limited Mourinho’s options, but there’s still a decent group of players from which to choose.

Prediction: De Gea; Darmian, Bailly, Lindelöf, Shaw; Pereira, Fred, McTominay; Mata, Rashford, Sánchez.

Update: Pogba (C) starts. Other than that, as predicted.
