Having started their season with an unconvincing win over Leicester City last weekend, Manchester United will be hoping for something better on Sunday. They travel to the south coast to take on Brighton & Hove Albion, whose 2-0 defeat away at Watford didn’t augur well for the new season.

Jesse Lingard could be back in action for United after missing the opening game of the season, though Nemanja Matić and Antonio Valencia will both sit this one out. They join the injured Diogo Dalot, Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera and Sergio Romero on the sidelines. United will be hoping to avoid a repeat of their last outing at the Amex, when they were downed 1-0 back in May.
