Marcus Rashford may have earned himself an enforced absence from club action after picking up a red card in Manchester United’s last match, but he’s at least having a better time of it with England this week. Picked by manager Gareth Southgate to start up front in the friendly Nations league match, the forward finished adroitly after being teed up by fellow United player Luke Shaw.
Unfortunately for Shaw, who is coming off a run of four straight starts for his club team and a recall to the national side, the left-back was later stretchered off with what is possibly a concussion. As a result, Shaw will not be involved in England’s friendly on Tuesday, but the good news is that he seemed to be in good spirits after the match.
Thank you for all the love and support I am doing fine and am in the best hands. I’m a fighter so I will be back soon! ❤

England went on to lose 2-1 to David De Gea and Spain, having a last-minute equalizer controversially ruled out.
