Manchester United take on one of the Premier League’s form teams on Saturday. Watford have won every single one of their first four matches, and manager Javi Gracia — the man with a typo for a name — was rewarded for his work with the August Manager of the Month gong. So impressive have they been that Gracia has recently been subject to the accursed broadsheet love-in: see articles in the Guardian, the Independent and the Telegraph.
United managed to temporarily avert their ‘crisis’ with a convincing victory away at Burnley before the international break, but José Mourinho will know that defeat away at Watford would crank up the pressure once more. He’s without Marcus Rashford, who has a three-match suspension to serve, while Phil Jones, Diego Dalot, Marcos Rojo and Sergio Romero are all out. Marouane Fellaini, Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera all face late fitness tests.
