Manchester United’s latest Academy starlet Mason Greenwood has signed a new contract, one that will keep him at the club through 2023.

Greenwood has played an important role for the club this season as injuries have taken their toll on an already depleted first team. He impressed on the preseason tour of Southeast Asia, and has scored twice so far in the regular season campaign, against FC Astana and Rochdale in the Europa League and League Cup respectively.
The decision to extend was a logical one considering the amount of first team duty he’s had to carry in just his first full season with the club, and shows the amount of trust Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has in the latest crop of youngsters.
Greenwood is one of the few bright sparks for United this season, and if he can continue his development there’s no doubt he’ll play a part in the alleged 3-year rebuild plan.
