All Eyes on Haaland

The recent Champions League match between RB Salzburg and Liverpool had a very interested fan in the stands.

Watching the match and more importantly, potential transfer target, Erling Braut Håland, was United chief scout Marcel Bout.

Multiple teams across Europe have Håland on their wishlist, including Juventus and Borussia Dortmund. Solskjaer has reportedly made two central midfielders and a striker his priorities for the January transfer window.

Håland was coached by Solskjaer during the 2017 season when Solskjaer was in charge at Molde and Solskjaer remains hopeful a deal can be concluded with Salzburg by the summer.

Heading into the Liverpool match, Håland had netted 27 goals in just 19 games. It is rumored that he has a £17 million release clause in his Salzburg contract.

James Maddison Rumored to Resign with Leicester

Attacking midfielder James Maddison has been on the United transfer list for a while but rumors coming out of Leicester are speculating that Maddison is close to re-signing with Leicester City.

The Foxes locked down manager Brendan Rodgers with a new deal until 2025 and have stated that they want to keep hold of their stars, starting with Maddison.

The 23-year-old currently earns £60,000 per week on a deal until 2023 and is in line for a significant pay rise if he agrees to new terms. Maddison’s form has alerted numerous clubs, with Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur all expressing interest in signing him.

Maddison joined Leicester from Norwich City in June of 2018 for around £20 million and has been a vital player in Leicester’s rise up the standings this season. In 15 Premier League matches, Maddison has 5 goals and 3 assists.
