Lately, all the reports have been about potential players coming into the Manchester United ranks during the upcoming transfer windows. There have been few rumors about potential outgoings (aside from you know who) — until now. ESPN and multiple other sources are saying that defender Ashley Young is set to leave United when his contract expires in the summer.

At 34 years old the England international doesn’t expect a new contract from United considering their wealth of options in the full-back position. With Aaron Wan-Bissaka signing in the summer and the emergence of Brandon Williams this season, Young has only 11 starts this campaign.

Young has made more than 250 appearances for United since arriving from Aston Villa in 2011 and has no plans to retire in the summer. The United club captain reportedly has interest from several Premier League and Championship teams, and hasn’t ruled out playing overseas either.
