Manchester United continue to find new ways to underwhelm, as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday. The draw means that United missed their chance to climb up to fifth in the Premier League table, after the Red Devils lost a lead for the third time in a week. Villa opened the scoring via a beautiful curling effort from Jack Grealish, before an own goal (created by Marcus Rashford’s header) and a rare goal from Victor Lindelöf put United ahead. A defensive lapse at the back let in Tyrone Mings for an equalizer, though, and the home side dropped points again to find themselves closer to the relegation zone than to the Champions League qualification places.
