Manchester United host Southampton at Old Trafford on Saturday, with the chance to gain ground on Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal — who face off earlier in the North London Derby — in the Premier League table. After putting on a professional performance midweek to get the better of Crystal Palace, United will need more of the same against a Saints team desperate for points.
The injury situation at United is not much better than it was on Wednesday, with several key players still unavailable. Marcus Rashford may be fit enough to start, but the rest of the team and matchday squad is likely to look very similar to the one Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was able to call on at Palace.
