They will buy Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea. Maybe.

Borussia Dortmund are preparing to sell Jadon Sancho to Manchester United this summer.

United have been linked with former Manchester City winger Sancho for the last few months, with rumours of increasing regularity suggesting that United will bid for him to make the 18-year-old England international their most expensive signing ever.

Sancho will cost around £100 million, and there is reportedly no ‘United tax’ that has been included in Brahim Diaz’s sale to Real Madrid - if the player joins a Manchester-based club then Real would have to pay City 40% of the transfer fee.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is elsewhere reported to be ready to sell or release Alexis Sanchez, allowing him to free up room on the right wing for next season, and Juan Mata’s contract is also due to expire in the summer. Sancho left City in search of regular first team football so would be unlikely to leave if he did not have some kind of assurance that he would be considered a starter for United.

The Mirror believes that Dortmund are already planning for life without Sancho, which would be bad news for Chelsea. The German club would move for Chelsea’s 18-year-old winger Callum Hudson-Odoi as Sancho’s replacement. There would be plenty of competition for Hudson-Odoi with Bayern Munich already interested and RB Leipzig said to also be ready to make a move for him in the summer, too.
