Manchester United have received a boost in advance of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Arsenal in the news that both Anthony Martial and Nemanja Matić have been passed fit to join the travelling squad. Minor injuries have ruled both players out for the last few weeks, but they’re now expected to be involved from the off as Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side take on the Gunners in a crucial match in the battle for Champions League qualification.
It isn’t all good news, however, with the on-form Ander Herrera seemingly not fit enough to play. The Spanish midfielder, who has been a vital part of United’s resurgence under Solskjær, has been struggling with a hamstring problem, and wasn’t spotted boarding the team bus on Saturday.
That’s good news for youngsters Mason Greenwood and Tahith Chong, for whom there is still space in the travelling squad. Eric Bailly is also included, despite having limped out of the midweek clash with Paris Saint-Germain. Antonio Valencia, Matteo Darmian, Juan Mata, Alexis Sánchez and Phil Jones are all still on the treatment table.
