Antonio Conte loves himself a Manchester United reject. After helpfully unburdening Manchester United of overweight and oversensitive striker Romelu Lukaku, the Internazionale manager is now interested in taking on Alexis Sánchez as well, according to multiple reports.
Inter representatives are reportedly in London discussing the terms of a deal that would see Sánchez move to Italy initially on a one-year loan before completing a permanent transfer next summer.
“Inter want to bring the forward to the San Siro on an initial 12-month loan deal, paying €5million (£4.5m) up front.
They would then pay United a further €18m (£16.5m) at the end of a second season-long loan spell.
United want to receive €25m (£22m) for Sanchez up front instead and are not keen on accepting the lower figure being offered by Inter.”
Confirmed: Inter are in talks with Man United for Alexis Sanchez. Loan until June 2020 + buy option for €15M. Part of the wage would be paid by Man Utd too. Alexis asked to the club and to Solskjaer to join Inter. Now it just depends by Man United decision. #MUFC #transfers

Sánchez is said to be keen on the move, and willing to accept lower wages, even though United will have to pay part of his salary for this season. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently talked up the Chilean, saying that he was counting on United’s no. 7 to contribute this season, but privately the club are eager to shift him and his salary.
