Manchester United travel to the Molineux on Monday to face bogey side Wolves in the second match of the Premier League season. Wolves beat United twice at their ground in the second half of last season, and have proved a difficult opponent for the better sides in the league. United have a chance to go top of the league on goal difference if they win, at which point hopefully the rest of the season will be immediately cancelled and United can be named champions.
United’s opening weekend win over Chelsea was notable for the openness of both sides. In that game, the Reds were able to capitalize while the Blues were not, but Monday’s match-up will be far less forgiving. Wolves are better coached and sturdier in midfield than Chelsea are, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may not be able to field the same attack-minded lineup as he did last Sunday.
