Harry Maguire and his massive head are on their way to Manchester United. The Telegraph are now reporting that United and Leicester City have finally agreed a deal for the England center back, said to be for a world record fee for a defender: £85m, plus potential add-ons. The Foxes had long been said to be holding out for a record fee, and it appear that United have at long last agreed to pull their finger out and pay what was needed.

Maguire is yet to “officially” agree personal terms, but as is always the case in modern football, such details were likely hashed out between intermediaries long ago. Maguire is said to have pushed Leicester strongly to accept United’s offer, which may have accelerated proceedings. The defender is expected to have his medical tomorrow, with an official announcement to follow shortly thereafter.
