Manchester United return to Premier League action after a comfortable midweek win in Europe, with a trip to Southampton on Sunday. United have a chance to climb up the league table and continue their recovery from a rocky start to the season, but the Saints will be difficult opponents. Ralph Hasenhuettl’s side have been one of the most impressive teams in the division this season, and currently sit in fifth.
United are still without Eric Bailly and Luke Shaw, but Victor Lindelöf and Aaron Wan-Bissaka have both recovered from the niggles that saw them withdrawn in the second half of Wednesday’s match against Istanbul Basaksehir. Midfielders Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay both missed training on Friday, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hinted in his Friday press conference that neither players would be likely to feature.
