Starters

David De Gea: 7/10

The Manchester United no. 1 played well today. Made some good saves, and made no real errors despite conceding twice. Leeds kept him busy as well.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka: 7/10

Very good both keeping his side in order and helping out in the middle defensively. Decent game going forward too, but his contribution wasn’t really needed too much.

Victor Lindelöf: 8/10

Scored United’s fourth goal with a nice finish at the back post. Good in defense with Maguire despite Leeds’ attack causing a lot of chaos.

Harry Maguire: 7/10

Good defensively, stayed organized and kept command against an active Leeds side. Nearly scored too.

Luke Shaw: 8/10

Very good performance today. Got forward well, provided nice delivery, and kept good control on the left.

Scott McTominay: 10/10

What a show from McTominay today. Set the tone early with two very well taken goals, and was a constant source of energy in midfield from kickoff until the moment he limped off late. Man of the match display.

Fred: 6/10

Fred was fine today. Not quite up to the standard of his performances of late, but no costly moments from his giveaways. Good forward passing too.

Bruno Fernandes: 8/10

Bruno spent a lot of time creating space for his teammates to exploit, making runs and drawing defenders to be an off ball creator. And he still managed to get a goal and convert a penalty for himself.

Daniel James: 8/10

Best performance in some time from Daniel James. Got a deserved goal in the second half against his sort of former club, and made several lung-busting runs to set the tone and keep the pressure on a threatening Leeds United.

Anthony Martial: 7/10

Everything but the finishing today from Martial. Should have scored.

Marcus Rashford: 7/10

Like Martial, probably should have scored, but did well regardless.

Substitutes

Edinson Cavani: 6/10

Nearly scored, did good work offensively.

Donny Van De Beek: 7/10

Good energy, looked sharp and kept the energy up after Bruno and Rashford came off.

Alex Telles: 6/10

Made a good clearance and kept his side of defense in order. Had a shot on target as well.

Manager

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: 9/10

Great team performance for a full 90 minutes. Problems defending a corner again, but the only real mistake in a game that presented several potentially problematic moments. The game plan out of the gate provided instant payoff, and the usual back-four provided stability and order. Ole’s subs kept the energy up as well, and there was not anxiety in the closing minutes.
