Manchester United have a list of several players on their January transfer shortlist, according to reports.
United could be ready to sell Paul Pogba after his agent Mino Raiola claimed there was little hope of a future for the 27-year-old World Cup winner at Old Trafford. Pogba has since been linked with a transfer to Juventus and Real Madrid, with the Italian champions his most likely destination, perhaps in a swap deal with Paulo Dybala or Cristiano Ronaldo.
However the Mirror has a list of other candidates for the winter transfer window.
To replace Pogba in midfield, Renato Sanches is under consideration, and he may be let go relatively cheaply by Lille. Sanches struggled for a time after a big money move to Bayern Munich and a loan to Swansea City, but he has rediscovered his best form in France. He has also been linked with a move to Liverpool, who may need a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.
The exceptional Jack Grealish has also continued to improve for Aston Villa, and United agreed contract terms with the England international last season, though failed to make a move for him in the summer. A new deal would have to be offered due to his recent improvement, though.
In defence, RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano could be available as the German club need to raise funds due to the coronavirus and its impact on football’s finances. Another option at the back is Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier, despite the Spanish club’s reluctance to do business for the right-back.
The last option in the market is Brighton’s Ben White, who appeared ready to step up to a higher level while on loan with Leeds last season in the Championship. He has continued to do well in the Premier League and could be available this January.
