Manchester United made it three wins out of three against Chelsea this season. The Reds beat the Blues 2-0 at Stamford Bridge thanks to goals in each half from Anthony Martial and Harry Maguire. The win moves United to within 3 points of Chelsea in 4th place in the Premier League table, and marks the first time that United have done the league double over Chelsea in over 30 years.
Martial opening the scoring with an excellent glancing header after a superb cross from Aaron Wan-Bissaka on the right flank. Maguire made the result safe when he scored his first goal for the club with a powerful header (!) from a Bruno Fernandes corner (!). It was an eventful match, and Chelsea may rightfully feel aggrieved; not only did the home side have two goals ruled out by VAR (only one of which was a clear decision), but VAR also failed to rule a very high boot from Maguire into the midriff of Michy Batshuayi as a red card offense. Check out the goals and full highlights below.
