Manchester United return to Premier League action after their midweek trip to Belgium with a game at home to struggling Watford. Nigel Pearson appeared to have turned their fortunes in his first few weeks in charge, but they’re now winless in four, and sit second from bottom in the table. Anything other than a win would be a really poor result for Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side.
United won their first Premier League match in four attempts last time out, though they’re still six points adrift of Chelsea and the top four. Solskjær is still without Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford, while Mason Greenwood and Scott McTominay are doubts. Eric Bailly picked up a knock in the win over Chelsea, but could return here. Watford, meanwhile, will have to do without Craig Dawson and Daryl Janmaat, who are injured. Kiko Femenía, Ismaila Sarr and erstwhile United midfielder Tom Cleverley are all doubts.
