Sergio Romero: 9/10

Made two brilliant saves on Rooney free kicks and kept yet another clean sheet. Should’ve let Wazza score though in the last minute though.

Diogo Dalot: 6/10

Bit careless with possession at times, but looked sharp in link up play and got into some dangerous positions.

Victor Lindelof: 8/10

Strong performance, and dealt with 1-on-1 situations very well.

Eric Bailly: 8/10

Another strong performance from Bailly after spending much of the season sidelined with an injury. Should inspire some confidence if he’s called upon Sunday with Maguire picking up an injury.

Luke Shaw: 8/10

Very good game defensively, made an impact going forward as well. Good overlapping play, and bagged a goal off of a deflection.

Fred: 7/10

Good energetic performance. Was a big reason United controlled midfield well, but perhaps stayed on the pitch a bit long with the Manchester Derby coming on Sunday.

Scott McTominay: 6/10

Disappointing at times, but was a strong defensive presence in midfield. Got into it with Derby’s Louie Sibley a couple times.

Juan Mata: 7/10

Linked up well in attack. Misfired a couple times, but overall a solid creative display.

Bruno Fernandes: 7/10

Driving force in midfield. Didn’t make the same sort of impact we’ve seen in recent performances, but still United’s most creative player.

Jesse Lingard: 5/10

Not a great performance, but looks more confident. Brought some energy to the attack, and nearly scored a 4th for United late.

Odion Ighalo: 9/10

Very good display from United’s January loanee. Bagged a brace, and could have had a hat trick. Good at getting into dangerous areas.

Andreas Pereira: 4/10

Not very good despite playing a weak and beaten opposition, didn’t make an impact.

Anthony Martial: N/A

Didn’t make much of an impact.

Brandon Williams: N/A

Not on long.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: 7/10

Put out a winning rotated side in a potentially tricky tie. United are through to the quarterfinal, where they’ll face a Norwich side that they’ve beaten handily twice this season. Maybe should have taken Fred off sooner, and bringing on Martial with the game wrapped up was an unnecessary choice too.

Wayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney: 10/10

Brilliant from MY Captain in a 3-0 win, 2 great free kicks and great vision in a supporting midfield role.

Also Romero should be disciplined for denying him a goal.
