Reds at Home: Quarantine Continues and Marcus Rashford has a Beautiful Soul

Checking back in with Manchester United players at home

An example of when the internet does something positive.

Look at us. We’re in the middle of May with an end seemingly in sight before it’s ripped away again. If normalcy is the football held by Lucy, Charlie Brown is the society that cannot connect on the kick.

Speculative reports suggest that the Premier League’s Project Restart has changed its estimated start date enough times to be compared with Marvel’s The New Mutants. Frankly, if we see Manchester United play a competitive match of football before The New Mutants releases on its new release date of August 28, I’ll be shocked. Of course, the most important question is if it’s worth anyone showing up to theaters, right now, much less the Theatre of Dreams.

Anyways, as we continue to experience the tortuous football equivalent of edging, here’s what some of United’s stars have been up to in the interim.

Marcus Rashford is making the most of a bad situation

This pandemic sucks. Having to work as an essential worker so that the majority of society enjoys as much of its creature comforts as it’s used to sucks. Staying at home, isolated from friends and family, sucks.

Marcus Rashford is doing everything he can to make it suck a little less.

He put the club on his back until it (literally) gave out on him. But that hasn’t stopped him from lifting up his city. Manc born and bred indeed. Between encouraging positivity, learning sign language to communicate with the hearing-impaired, and continuing to raise huge sums of money to feed Mancunians in need, if there was any question that he’ll be a club legend, it’s been answered in real time.

Mason Greenwood’s stock is higher than Amazon’s

When Greenwood is given the chance to start full time, he’s going to wreck opposing defenses like Jeff Bezos is wrecking the working class.

Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Victor Lindelöf get some reps in

Can you imagine just going for a stroll and seeing these three sweating it out at the park? It looks like the bald haircut phase is already over.

Juan Mata celebrated his birthday

He hasn’t aged a day.

David de Gea doesn’t slip up when encouraging other keepers

Fred receives top marks from a United Legend

Hard not to smile when Peter Schmeichel honors you like that!

Diogo Dalot is #Goals

Who the hell doesn’t want to play fetch with a dog right now? Liverpool fans. That’s who. Demons.

The Spider proves again he’s England’s Golden Boy

Reds > Blues. No matter if the pitch is real or digital. Stick it up your bumhole.

Harry Maguire puts club first

Congratulations to Harry Maguire who revealed that he has become a father.

Of course, his pinned tweet on his Twitter account is still him signing his United contract last summer. Proper Red, yeah? Would expect nothing less from our club captain.

Jesse Lingard reconnects with Larnell Cole

JLingz linked up with fellow United academy grad, Larnell Cole to work out and work on their lifelong friendship. Makes you wonder if Lingard’s new super agent will force a move to FC United of Manchester to reunite with Cole on the pitch.

Jadon Sancho’s performance slips amidst transfer rumors

United’s next number 7 took some time out from preparing for the Bundesliga’s return to get washed in FIFA by music superstar Dave. A worrying sign that the English international is struggling as the pressure and expectations continue to rise. But, still, seems like a good excuse to watch my favorite video of last summer.
