We’re as shocked as you are

We’ve just received some late breaking news here at The Busby Babe headquarters. It appears that the 2019-20 Premier League season has been canceled. After a meeting between the FA and league officials, it was unanimously decided that because of the season interruption due to COVID-19, the fairest solution would be to cancel the season and wipe it totally from the record books.

Understandably, we’re all shocked and disappointed, as many Manchester United fans were looking forward to the Reds continuing their quest to finish in the top four and qualify for next season’s Champions League. We must accept this decision however, and move on with our lives in acceptance of the fact that the 2019-20 season is completely null and void.

As sad as this is, there is a silver lining — at least now Liverpool can’t win the league. Nothing would be worse than Liverpool winning the league — that would be worst thing that has ever, ever happened. We don’t even want to contemplate that reality. Bullet dodged, right?! Phew.
