United conceded first, but recovered excellently — some good build up play led to a Marcus Rashford equalizer, before Anthony Martial lashed home a brilliant finish to put the Reds ahead. Unfortunately, a failure to take their chances to put the game away, some momentum-slowing substitutions, and some bad luck with injuries led to the home side struggling to hold on in injury time.
