Jan Vertonghen would be a perfect signing for Manchester United

With the season ending, The Tactical Minute is moving on to a ‘Tactical Take’ on transfer season.

Thirty-three-year-old center back Jan Vertonghen has confirmed he’ll be leaving Tottenham Hotspur on a free this summer. Vertonghen is no longer a player that can start every match, but given his qualities, attributes, and price, he’d be a perfect player for Manchester United to try and sign this summer on a short term deal, and thus allow them to spend their money upgrading other areas of the squad.
