Inter Milan and Manchester United are reportedly close to a €15m deal to keep winger Alexis Sánchez with the Nerazzurri on a permanent basis. According to Football Italia the deal will be announced on Wednesday, the same day that both clubs play their respective Europa League Round of 16 2nd leg matches. Sánchez, who is included in Inter’s knockout tournament squad, has been on loan for the last year, and it’s no secret that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been keen to move his wages to continue his rebuilding project.
Official: Alexis Sánchez included in Inter Milan's squad for the final stages of the Europa League #mulive

Alexis Sánchez has been a massive disappointment at Manchester United since his arrival from Arsenal in January, 2018, and has been on even more massive wages. He had a handful of promising moments, including an FA Cup Semi-Final goal, but after a miserable 2018/19 campaign he was firmly in the “dead weight” category of United players. In order to continue a much needed, and so far successful, squad overhaul under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ed Woodward will need to find a way to move the Chilean winger and his wages permanently, and soon.
This move will be good for both the club and player, finally ending a ridiculously expensive and directionless marriage. Alexis has played well when fit at Inter, where he scored 4 goals and contributed 9 assists as Inter pushed Juventus for the title. He will likely continue to have a key role as one of their more creative players.
On a totally separate note, if anyone is interested in a Home 17/18 Red Alexis shirt, you can send me a message on Twitter. Listening to all monetary offers, or swap deal offers that includes $500,000/week. This shirt will do absolutely nothing of value for you, just like the actual Alexis. DMs open.
Update: Here. We. Go.

Inter will NOT pay any fee to Man United. He’ll join for free and Inter will take charge of his full wage. Sanchez will earn €7M/season as Inter player. ⚫️ #MUFC #Inter @SkySport
