Manchester United unveil new 2020-21 home kit

Look good, play good.

Manchester United Football Club unveiled its new Adidas home shirt for the 2020-21 season, as the club began its Tuesday morning with the announcement.

The new shirt reverts from the 2019-20 kit and sports the classic United crest, and the three white stripes on the shoulders also make a return. New to the shirt are the accent lines cutting across the red base. Of course, one of the ugliest front of shirt sponsors in world football continues to disgrace the shirt while Kohler returns as an inoffensive sleeve sponsor.

According to the Adidas product listing:

“Woven from the club’s unique DNA, strand by strand. This adidas Manchester United Authentic Jersey displays a hand-drawn design inspired by the reverse of its world-famous badge. Identical to the shirts players wear on the pitch, it’s optimized for elite-level soccer. Soft, air-cooled fabric keeps you dry, comfortable and confident. Heat-transfer details cut weight and wind resistance so nothing holds you back.”

Our take:

A little underwhelming compared to the masterpieces unveiled by Juventus and Ajax in recent weeks. However, at the end of the day, it’s a shirt. It’ll look better when you show us Jadon Sancho wearing one.
