Starters

David De Gea: 7/10

Alert when called upon, but not much to do today. Well organized defense.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka: 6/10

Not super involved today. Little to do defensively, and not a threat offensively.

Eric Bailly: 7/10

Good in partnership with Maguire again, and with Victor Lindelof seemingIy available for selection as well.

Harry Maguire: 8/10

Alert defending, and should have had a goal in the first half. Won a header and sent it past Pope, but was wrongfully denied by the referee for a supposed foul on the header.

Luke Shaw: 7/10

Wasn’t enormously effective in attack, but got forward often. Got on a yellow after an odd VAR review.

Nemanja Matic: 7/10

Played the ball forward well. Put in a good 90 minutes of work and provided good help in possession.

Paul Pogba: 9/10

Brilliant goal to break the deadlock in the second half. Looked creative for much of the game, and got forward well. Was going to be important in a game that United expected to have possession, and turned up with the goods when called upon.

Bruno Fernandes: 6/10

Ineffective today. United needed a creative spark in midfield to break down Burnley, but Bruno wasn’t able to deliver on that today. Turnovers and fatigue today.

Anthony Martial: 6/10

Probably should have scored on a couple of occasions, but came up short. Hit a brilliant curling strike in the first half that Pope just tipped wide.

Edinson Cavani: 6/10

Lacked key involvement. Set up a good chance for Martial, and missed a couple chances of his own. Good energy throughout.

Marcus Rashford: 6/10

Ineffective for most of the match, but kept pressuring Burnley’s back line. Came off in the second half, but not before helping to set up Pogba’s winning goal.

Substitutes

Scott McTominay: 6/10

Good energy in defense to see things out.

Mason Greenwood: N/A

Came on to boost the attack, but didn’t see many chances to do so.

Axel Tuanzebe: N/A

Came on late.

Manager

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: 8/10

Picked a good side to possess and try to break down Burnley. Paul Pogba came up with the goods eventually, and rewarded a United side that had to be patient with decisions going against them and chances not falling kindly. United are top of the league, and won in a difficult game with the pressure on to do so.
