Manchester United fans won’t have to wait much longer to see the much-hyped Amad Diallo in action as he dons the United colors this Saturday in United’s U23 match against Liverpool.
The young Ivory Coast midfielder officially joined United in January from Serie A side Atalanta and has been practicing with the first team since his arrival.
Speaking to MUTV, Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær said: “Yes, Amad will play in the game against Liverpool in the Under-23s. He’s been training really well and settling in.”
“He’s ready to get some game-time and match exposure. I’m looking forward to seeing him. Welcome to English football!”
Seldom used at Atalanta this season, the U23 minutes will provide Diallo the experience he needs to adjust to the Premier League and hopefully fight for a place in the first-team squad.
