Ratings in after that *performance…

Must we do this? The Reds suffered another humiliating defeat to neighbours Manchester City. Time is up for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. It’s on the board now.

David de Gea – 6

Looked like he was going to break his own saves per game record in the first half before conceding a howler just before half-time.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 3

In stark contrast to City’s Joao Cancelo. Like most United players, looked completely anonymous.

Victor Lindelof – 3

Came close to scoring an own goal.

Harry Maguire – 3

Did not come close to scoring an own goal.

Eric Bailly - 2

Scored an own goal and was subbed off at half-time.

Luke Shaw – 4

Only attacking threat for periods. Created a chance for Ronaldo in the first half. Did the same for Maguire from a set piece. Was subbed off in the second half after a collision.

Scott McTominay – 3

A midfielder on paper. His aversion to showing for the ball wasn’t highlighted in a game where it wasn’t required.

Fred – 4

Was the only player that came close to winning the ball back.

Bruno Fernandes – 2

Needs a break but won’t get it. Anonymous like most of his teammates.

Cristiano Ronaldo – 2

Does the most important thing on the pitch but when he doesn’t do that, United play with 10 men.

Mason Greenwood - 2

Never looked like the right game for him. No threat on the counter and that’s never been Greenwood’s game.

Substitutions:

Jadon Sancho - 3

Got some minutes. This isn’t what he signed up for.

Marcus Rashford – NA

Alex Telles - NA

Donny van de Beek - NA

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - 0

It’s time to go.
