With Paul Pogba out, what should Manchester United’s midfield look like?

The loss of Paul Pogba is no doubt a blow to Manchester United as they continue their slump in form. The extra time win against West Ham in the FA Cup did little to inspire confidence after giving away the lead twice against Everton, and a 1-1 draw at West Brom confirmed the biggest fears that the Red Devils were indeed falling out of any potential title race.

However, the job is far from finished. United need to land on their feet if they want to keep a top spot in the league, and especially if they want to add some silverware to that in the FA Cup and/or UEFA Europa League. With Pogba out for the time being, Ole needs to patch up a massive hole in his midfield. McFred has been a regular pivot partnership this season, and Matic has also reemerged as a regular over the last year under Solskjaer. There is also the often benched new signing, Donny Van De Beek, who has failed to make much of an impact in his debut season.

What do you think Solskjaer should do?
