Manchester United host Real Sociedad at Old Trafford on Thursday, in the return leg of their Europa League round of 32 tie. United hold a commanding 4-0 lead from the first leg — played in Turin last week — and will have to collapse in extraordinary fashion to fail to move on to the next stage. Real Sociedad are also coming off a big win in their domestic league, however, and should not be underestimated.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has an opportunity to give a rest to likes of Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes, but injuries in midfield and attack have limited his options. Paul Pogba, Donny van de Beek, Edinson Cavani, and Scott McTominay all remain injured, while Mason Greenwood and Juan Mata were not pictured with the matchday squad on Thursday morning. Recent debutants Shola Shoretire and Amad Diallo will be in the squad, and at least one of the young attackers may see significant minutes.
