The deal is apparently worth more than £75m.

Manchester United have reportedly made a fresh offer for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho. Sky Sports claim that the bid is worth in excess of £75 million, with a greater chunk to be paid up front than was offered in United’s opening gambit. United had initially slapped £67m on the table up front, with an additional £8m to be paid through add-ons.

It remains unclear whether the fresh bid will be enough to force Dortmund’s hand, with the club said to be holding out for in excess of £80m. However, there seems to be a will on both sides to get a deal done, and United’s cause might be helped by the 21-year-old’s conspicuous absence at Euro 2020.

Despite being named in Gareth Southgate’s England squad, Sancho has yet to make an appearance at the tournament. That could still change, particularly if the Three Lions fail to improve on their lacklustre goalless draw with Scotland when they face the Czech Republic at Wembley on Tuesday.
