Manchester United are working toward a deal to secure Jadon Sancho’s transfer for a fee of around £80 million plus add-ons. There may yet be hope of a positive end to the long transfer saga, with Borussia Dortmund reportedly more willing to allow their talented young winger to leave. The Athletic’s Laurie Whitwell reported on the matter today, claiming that there is an “openness to compromise” this time around that was not the case last summer.
Negotiations for Jadon Sancho to #mufc have begun. United are believed to be ready to commit £80m to the deal, but Borussia Dortmund are said to be holding out for an extra £20m in add-ons. However, discussions point to an openness to compromise #mulive [@lauriewhitwell]

Jadon Sancho is currently training with the England squad in Middlesborough ahead of the UEFA Euro, and the club are hopeful of completing a deal before the tournament begins on June 12th. Sancho being at the England camp complicates a deal a little bit, but being in country means its doable.
In apparently related news, Sancho has once again featured in Manchester United star Marcus Rashford’s social media posts.
The post became quite popular in Manchester United social circles, as was the case when a similar post was made last September, and it would appear that the players are well aware of the attention that such a post would pick up. I mean just look at me, I’m spending at least a few lines of an article discussing a bloody Instagram post for crying out loud. Please just get the deal over the line and end this.
